Diana Vickers: 'I'll stay at number one'

Diana Vickers has told the News of the World that she is happy she didn’t win the X Factor in 2008.

Since being eliminated from the semi-final of the reality TV series, the solo star has achieved a number 1# single and is about to release her debut album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree.

Diana, who reached the semi final, said: ‘I'm so grateful I didn't win. I think the originality is stripped away from those who do make it.’

The star added: Between then and now, I've been given time to grow, do The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, which I'd never been able to do had I won.’

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old has revealed she remains confident of winning the singles chart for a second week running.

However, acknowledged Rangers FC fans who are campaigning for 'The Best' by Tina Turner to reach the top spot - after it made the top ten on Sunday.

She told the Daily Record: ‘Good luck to them but I am so pleased to be number one. I hadn't heard about their Facebook group. I genuinely wish them luck but hopefully I'll stay at number one. It has been overwhelming.’

The singer said of her victory: "Just to get into the top ten would have been amazing. The fact that I am number one is a relief as I was so nervous."

Farrell 'fight' was mistaken identity

Colin Farrell has always had a reputation as a bit of a hell raiser on the Hollywood scene, but has denied being involved in a fight that took place outside of a
London nightclub.

Several publications reported the Irish actor took part in a heated argument outside Café de Paris recently, including OK Magazine and the Daily Mail.

But a spokesperson for the 32-year-old denied the reports.

A representative told WENN: ‘It is not him - he is and has been in L.A. Colin also has tattoos which this man does not.’

The photographs in question featured 23-year-old lookalike James Martin.

He told the Daily Star he has been mobbed loads of times by fans of the Miami Vice star.

Staff at the swish London venue gave him free champagne and he was introduced to the stars of Dancing On Ice.

He said: ‘I kept telling the bouncers I wasn’t him but they insisted I come into the VIP part of the club.

‘It can be nice when that happens and it happens a lot.

‘But all sorts of people were coming up to me – even actors off EastEnders.’

However, things turned ugly when stepped outside and found photographers were waiting.

He explained: ‘There was a gang of about 50 people after me – they took my wallet, all my money and used me as a punchbag.

‘Even the police who came to help said I look like Colin.’

Now James plans to cash in on his looks and become a full-time impersonator.

Courtney Love claims affair with Gavin Rossdale

Courtney Love claims she had an affair with Gwen Stefani’s husband Gavin Rossdale.

The rock singer, who made the sensational claim on the Howard Stern radio show in the US, said Gwen knew she was having an intimate relationship with the Bush front man.

She said they had ‘a really good time’ during their eight month affair and claimed she had a 'vision of marrying Gavin Rossdale one time'.

No Doubt singer Gwen, 40, and Gavin, 44, wed in 2002 and have two sons, Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 18 months.

Courtney was married to Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994 when their daughter Frances Bean, now 17, was just a toddler.

Courtney said: 'Everyone gave me so much s*** because Gavin sounded a lot like Kurt.

'But man, he was such an Adonis in his day! He got good in bed... something happened. Maybe Gwen taught him, for all I know.'

When asked if she was having sex while Gavin was married to Gwen, she replied: 'We didn't have a lot of pressure on each other, but we did like each other quite a bit.'

Gwen and Gavin are yet to comment on the claims.

Nadine says Nicola is 'forcing her out'

Nadine Coyle has told friends that Nicola Roberts is forcing her out of Girls Aloud.

The Irish singer is said to furious at her telling Hello magazine that none of the girls have spoken to her since September.

In other news, Nicola has made it onto a list of Britain's top ten richest young musicians.

But despite her fortune she is dwarfed by fellow band member and X Factor judge Cheryl, who is worth at least £10million.

The 24-year-old has an estimated £5million fortune, which she owes to Girls Aloud and her Dainty Dolls make-up line for fair skin.

Kim Kardashian was the victim of domestic violence and abuse, newly uncovered court papers revealed.

The reality TV star suffered at the hands of her ex-husband Damon Thomas, who allegedly beat her and demanded to know where she was every minute of the day.

They married in Las Vegas, Nevado, in January 2000, when Kim was 19-years-old. They split three years later.

According to the papers, Thomas repeatedly punched her in the face, leaving her battered and bruised. He also gave her $3,650 to get liposuction because he wanted her to be ‘perfect’ – then gave her an additional $1,000 for more surgery.

She said: 'Damon decided what we would do and when we would do it. He was very much the ‘King of the castle’,' she said.

She was working as a sales girl at a shop in Los Angeles called Body, but was made to give up her job by her husband: 'He said he did not want me to have contact with my old boyfriends who would be able to reach me at the clothing store,' she said.

She added: 'He said he wanted to know where I was at all times.'

His demands are laid bare by Kim in their divorce papers, which were filed at Los Angeles Superior Court in 2003.

'He would not allow me to go out to dinner with friends I have known since I was a child. If Damon were not home, I was required to call him and ask permission to leave the house.'

But 29-year-old Kerry still insists that he only speaks to their daughters five times a year.

Molly, 8-years-old, and Lilly, 7-years-old, live with their mother in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and spend holidays with their father or his family in Ireland.

Cheryl Cole receives £700,000 pay rise

Cheryl Cole will receive an extra £700,000 if she returns to the X Factor judging panel, it has been alleged.

Cheryl is also rumoured to have been offered $2.2 million to join the judging panel on the US version of the show.

Taio Cruz, who collaborates with Kesha on the song, said that the song would have been perfect for Cheryl, especially after the recent allegations about her husband Ashley Cole cheating on her.

Dannii Minogue X Factor future safe

Dannii Minogue looks set to return to the X Factor after a ‘positive’ meeting with show bosses today.

But the 38-year-old will not be present for the auditions as she will be flying back to Australia to have her first child in July.

Her X Factor co-stars will have guest judges for the auditions, before she returns in time for the live shows.

A source close to the singer told the Daily Mail that she had enjoyed a lunch with executive producer Richard Holloway and said: ‘Dannii made it clear that she could definitely make it work.

They added: ‘She is very keen to work and could easily return for judges' houses, which is filmed in September.’

This show segment is where each judge chooses three out of six contestants, who will perform on the live shows, which start in October.

Danni said she could only join Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh: ‘If they're auditioning in the hospital in Australia, yes, but otherwise, no!’

She added: ‘I will miss Cheryl, Louis and Simon, and not being there for the auditions, but I really need to be near my family in Australia at such an important time.’

In March, the Daily Mail told how Mr Holloway and other X Factor executives had enjoyed a night out with Spice Girl Mel B, fuelling rumours that she was being lined up for a role on the show.

Lindsay Lohan snubbed on Mean Girls DS cover

Lindsay Lohan has been cut from the cover of an upcoming Nintendo DS game based on the movie Mean Girls.

The Plastics – Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert – are all accounted for, except for one omission.

The 2004 feature – in which Lindsay plays the lead role of Cady Heron - is perhaps one of the most recognisable films in her ‘acting career’ so far. So

Per the press release, players of the game ‘follow the misadventures of Cady from Jingle Bell Rock to the school prom’ and face ‘jocks, art freaks and
mathletes’ to become prom queen, so where's Cady herself?

Lindsay being erased from the box art has nothing to do with her not being considered a good role model for children.

The game was licensed from Paramount and apparently the use of Lindsay’s imagery would have been extraordinarily expensive.

Mean Girls the game – which doesn’t actually include the likenesses of Lindsay or her The Plastics – is due out on June 01.

In other news, Brandon Davis – who infamously dubbed Lindsay a ‘firecrotch’ several years ago – has denied calling ex-girlfriend Mischa Barton ‘fat’ and a ‘hefer’ on Twitter.

He told In Touch that not only did he not make the taunts, he doesn't even have a Twitter account.

The oil heir said: ‘I would never say anything nasty about Mischa, especially about her weight.

'I tried to dominate it, which I did, and I changed it multiple times over. But it never lasted and ultimately it didn't bring me anything but temporary happiness.

'Does being thin resolve anything? No. The irony is that when I abandoned that desire to dominate my body, it actually became the body that I'd always wanted.

'But it only happened when I stopped trying to control it. At the end of the day, this kind of obsession is pointless and meaningless.'

The Ghost star is rumoured to have had upwards of £200,000 of cosmetic procedures to help keep her body in shape.

But although she admitted to having some surgery, she says the amount she has spent has been overestimated and that the speculation has annoyed her.

She said: 'I have had something done but it's not on my face,'

'It feels like school-yard name-calling a lot of the time. It hurts.

'You know what? Maybe one day I'll go under the knife.

'it just irritates me that people are constantly saying how much I've spent on plastic surgery.'

Demi, who is married to model/actor Ashton Kutcher who is 15 years her junior, also said that their vast difference in age is not an issue.

'Every once in a while it's funny if I think, ‘When I was this age, you were in second grade...’, but really we're equal partners in this.'

While at a London launch party for his new film Kick-Ass, which Dizzee was also at, he told The Sun: ‘That guy has got it. The kids are really into his stuff. I have worked out to that song Bonkers.’

Meanwhile, Brad and Angelina Jolie rented an entire island so they and their six children could enjoy the Easter holiday in privacy.

The couple took their children to the Venetian island of San Servolo for a day of Easter activities including a family picnic and a hunt for eggs.

Brad and Angelina then left their children behind to travel to Bosnia so that Angelina could for fill her role as UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.

Frankie Sandford denies she is dating Ashley Cole

Frankie Sandford has denied she is dating Cheryl Cole’s estranged husband Ashley Cole.

It was alleged that The Saturdays singer has been on a number of dates with the Chelsea footballer while Cheryl was in LA recording new material for her second album.

Frankie, who recently split from McFly singer Dougie Poynter, is said to have met the premiership player in London nightclub Whisky Mist.

The former S Club Juniors singer was quick to deny the claims, posting on her Twitter page: ‘Really upset and angry by the story in The Sun. Can't believe they can just print something that's not true. I've never even met the man.’

Her record label Facination also insisted the reports were indeed false. They replied on Twitter: 'The story about Frankie in The Sun today is not true. She has never met him. We cannot say anymore as we are taking legal action.’

They tweeted: ‘The Saturdays singer has also been forced to deny that she is in a relationship with JLS heartthrob Aston Merrygold claiming they are 'just friends' and are pictured together a lot as Aston's bandmate Marvin Hums is dating fellow Saturday Rochelle Wiseman.

Cheryl is also at the centre of a love tug-of-war.

Dancer Derek Hough and Black Eyed Pea Will.I.Am are reportedly fighting over the Girls Aloud singer.

Will is said to be ‘furious’ that she is spending so much time with Derek, who starred in her music video Parachute.

A source told The Daily Star: ‘Will is absolutely besotted with Cheryl and thinks she could be his perfect woman. He's heard rumours she's still seeing Derek and cannot stand the thought of him getting his hands on her.’

They added: ‘He's determined to make things official with her before she gets snapped up by someone else. To say he's furious about Derek's new attempts to woo her would be the understatement of the century.’
