Now you can own a piece of eyewear history. What is perhaps Oliver Peoples’ most enduring frame is now available at Sunglasses Shop.
If you love beautiful, handmade craftsmanship, you’ll love O’Malley. If you love style redefined you’ll love O’Malley. If you love classics from the 20s and 30s, but with 60s intellect, you’ll love O’Malley.
Vintage O’Malley is part of the foundation of Oliver Peoples and helped redefine eyewear and create a new intellectual style. It’s one of the most recognisable frames in Oliver Peoples’ history and it’s one of Oliver peoples founder Larry Leight’s favourites too:
“Encouraged by numerous requests from friends, family and long‐time loyal customers, I was inspired to explore my personal archive of original Oliver Peoples designs,” he said. “After losing myself in a time machine of memories, I rediscovered several iconic, brand‐defining styles with original vintage‐tinted glass lenses in rare shades.
“Since very few original pieces exist, and because it is essential that the same attention to detail, craftsmanship and the integrity of the original styles be retained, I reached out to the same Japanese factory to reproduce a limited quantity.”
Christian Bale, as American Psycho Patrick Bateman, wore the glasses version of this treasured style and this razor-sharp round retro frame has also been spotted on Jennifer Aniston, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Take a look at the original advert too. ‘Working Opticians’ is a classic in itself and the cloth that comes with the O Malley features the iconic images of that ad.
